Lawton Enhancement Trust Authority & Lawton Beautiful Project |
 |
Lawton Beautiful, Inc., The Mayor's Taskforce and the Lawton Enhancement Trust Authority (LETA) has a vision to improve the appearance of Lawton.
This taskforce has several projects and one of them includes placing life-size cast aluminum buffalo throughout Lawton with the first "herd" arriving at Lawton Fort Sill Regional Airport. The herd will consist of life-size buffalos and small calves.
LETA began in July 2005 to encourage interest with those who share the vision of a more beautiful City of Lawton. LETA welcomes public and private entities, groups and individuals who desire to join in accomplishing this mission.
Each life-size cast aluminum buffalo is available for $1500 and includes installation and signage.
The main hope of Lawton Beautiful and LETA is for Lawton Fort Sill to be a city known for beauty and enhanced quality of life. |

LETA welcomes public and private donations which are tax deductible.

The buffalo is a symbol of the Great Plains and our heritage. Millions roamed the Great Plains in the 19th century until hunted almost to extinction. Thanks to conservation programs, interested private citizens and Native American tribes, the buffalo is rebounding. |
