August - Chamber sets Annual DC Fly-in for March 13-16, 2018 19-October - U.S. Department of Homeland Security has expanded the state’s REAL ID extension until Oct. 10, 2018.   26 September - Chamber Board unanimously approves Resolution of Support for $99.5m LPS Bond Proposal 
27-July - Army announced MG Wilson A. Shoffner, Jr. will be the next Commanding General of the Fires Center of Excellence & Fort Sill 6-September - Local delegation presents at an Interim Study to promote renewal of passenger rail in Lawton  21 September - MG Brian McKiernan announces at Chamber luncheon growth planned for Fort Sill
18 July - Dept. of Defense requests Authorization to Reprogram $2.4 Billion - Fort Sill interests include Recertification & Repair of PAC-3; Post Production Software Support for HIMARS; MLRS Product Improvement; Upgrade Army Radar Approach Control - which impacts Lawton Municipal Airport  Chamber Identifies 37 approved Interim Studies in the House that could impact Lawton; and 1 approved Interim Study in the Senate on broadening the tax base    July 31-Aug.3; Candidate Filing for City Council Wards 6, 7 & 8
    September 12 - Voting for City Council Wards 6, 7 & 8
