Armed Forces Day 2018
The Armed Forces Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m., heading west on C Avenue from 6th Street, before turning north on 11th Street. Participants will then head north on Fort Sill Boulevard before ending on the corner of Fort Sill Blvd. and Ferris Ave.
Billed in years past as the largest Armed Forces Day parade in the nation, more than 100 participants are set to march in Lawton Fort Sill’s procession. With the theme for the event set as “Our Heroes, A Purple Heart City,” bands, community and business floats, military officials and veterans will unite in tribute to the men and women who have valiantly served our nation. This showing of solidarity helps to renew the community’s support for our local soldiers, as well as soldiers serving abroad.
