Lawton and SWOK Represented at Tourism Conference
On May 14-15 the tourism industry from all across Oklahoma joined together for the annual Oklahoma Conference on Travel and Tourism at Oklahoma City University. The conference is a way to learn the latest trends, tactics and tools to succeed in the travel industry - from learning how to maximize cooperative marketing efforts, to creating an authentic tourism story to best practices in digital marketing.
Lawton and Southwest Oklahoma were well represented at the Oklahoma Conference on Travel and Tourism. The Lawton Fort Sill Convention and Visitors Bureau Director, Taylor Burgess, the Hilton Garden Inn’s Director of Sales, Christi Chambers and many members of Great Plains Country attended the conference.
“I really look forward to bringing the tools I learned at this years conference back to our local community and help grow our CVB and continue to attract visitors,” Burgess said.
Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma Todd Lamb was one of the speakers at the Oklahoma Conference on Travel and Tourism.
