President & CEO Brenda Spencer-Ragland Talks Citizens Ready to Support the Community

What I have always known is an army of citizens stands ready to support our community in so many areas, but recently while attending the annual Board of Realtors banquet, I was once again reminded of the generosity and absolute professionalism of the Lawton Fort Sill community, specifically our Lawton Board of Realtors.

It was evident: the Board of Realtors had a busy year in 2018. They collected hundreds of coats to donate to those in need; they also have been aggressively supporting other projects such as the handicap accessible playground project. The efforts of this professional organization to promote quality of life opportunities for all are truly inspiring. I have been fortunate to work with them during my career and I have witnessed first hand the absolute professionalism, and the untiring commitment they provide for our community.

I share often that there has never been a time when I picked up the phone seeking assistance that I did not find it from the Board of Realtors.   I was very proud to see three of the Realtors I consider mentors and friends recognized for their contributions to the realty profession. Those recognized, John Jones, Lon Parks and Johnny Kinder. While you are out and about, if you see them, please congratulate them and thank them for all they do for the betterment of our community. Likewise, if you see a member of the Board of Realtors, thank them.   They are busy not only trying to ensure we have adequate leadership and management of our housing market, but they are also the ones working many community enhancement projects such as the handicap accessible playground. We are blessed as a community to have such a professional and dedicated team working on the behalf of our community.
