Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce
Testimonials
“The Oklahoma JCI Senate recently worked with the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce in a successful effort to bring the US JCI Senate Fall Board of Directors Meeting to Lawton-Fort Sill. We were able to secure the bid from our National organization in large part because of the generous grant and support that we received from the Chamber… Working with the Chamber proved to be a great partnership for our State organization as this was our first time hosting a National Board Meeting in our state… In securing the bid for the meeting the Chamber provided us with area brochures, handouts, and even offered to have someone assist us with the presentation… We had close to 300 people from across the United States attend the meeting last September. It was the first time that many of the attendees had ever traveled to Lawton, OK. They enjoyed the community by visiting local venues such as restaurants, golf courses, shopping, museum’s, and casinos. The responses we received from attendees were exceptional. The service they received from the Lawton-Ft. Sill Hilton Garden Inn was outstanding. Many of our attendees also advised they would visit Lawton again in the future… As coordinator of the event, I can honestly say that it would have been difficult to make it the success that it was without the help of the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber and the grant they provided us. If any organization is planning an event in Lawton-Fort Sill, I hope they work with you.”
“In May of 2018,I decided to start my own business. I was new to Lawton and didn’t feel like I had the connections I needed. I decided to join the Chamber in June and have been extremely pleased. When I joined, I met with Melissa Beck, Membership Director, and was truly encouraged by her positive attitude and willingness to help. I have since joined a few committees and have met several incredible people. Joining the Chamber was one of the best decisions I have made. They have opened doors for me, made introductions and helped spread the word about my business. As a small business with a limited advertising budget, the Chamber has maximized my budget. Thank you to the staff who have made this incredible journey less frightening.”
“As a small business owner and member, we are a part of a ‘Chamber of Community’ that encourage participation to enhance the economic growth and business development within and throughout Lawton Fort Sill and the surrounding communities! Our Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce does an excellent job in supporting their members and promoting their partners through supportive training and networking opportunities.”
“I joined the Chamber of Commerce after I started my second business, “SoLiv Solar, LLC”, to get exposure and be more involved within the community. Since joining, the exposure I have received has been tremendous. I have attended several After Hours events and the New Member Cookout where you are encouraged to talk to other business owners and get your message out. I also participated in the SWOK 2016 Business Expo which provided my business the opportunity to get in front of hundreds of people. I am an active member on the Small Business Committee, where every voice is heard and never dismissed. Joining the Chamber has also provided me with the necessary tools needed to start, develop, and grow my business and all I had to do is simply ask! Many organizations charge large amounts of money with little return on investment, the Lawton/Ft. Sill Chamber of Commerce does just the opposite, small investment with HUGE dividends!”
“Being a part of the Chamber has afforded our business opportunities, such as developing relationships with other businesses in Lawton, that would have been harder to develop on our own. But like most things in life, you are going to get out of something what you put into it. Just being a member of the Chamber will not miraculously grow your business. It’s by being involved in some of the many things that the Chamber offers to its members, such as committees and networking events, that has helped us. Whether you are a business of 1 or 100, there is a place for you at the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce.”
“The chamber has been a tool for me in my business growth. From the Red Coat Ambassador team (a true Hospitality team for our new and existing businesses), to the buffet of programs such as Business After Hours, SWOK OK Business Expo, and the mini business committees that owners are encouraged to be a part of. If there was ever a question I had, the staff was prompt in their response; or they would point me in the right direction. This staff makes the chamber a viable heartbeat for the partnership with business owners; and in large part, the entire community which helps promote economic growth in our city. I thank you for all you do!”
“In the fall of 2015, new to Lawton and the business community, we joined the Chamber of Commerce and attended the SWOK Business Expo prior to opening The UPS Store on 2nd Street. This gave us a tremendous platform to introduce our business to the Lawton/Ft. Sill area as well as forge valued business relationships. We look forward to building on that success as we participate in the 2016 Expo. As active chamber members whose primary customers are small businesses, we strongly encourage other businesses to consider participation in the Chamber, and at this event.”
“Every major contract awarded to me since the formation of chrisMARTIN.tv is directly connected to an active and involved membership in the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce. Joining the chamber has afforded me the ability to network and form relationships with other members and, by extension, their contacts and clients. The success of a business isn’t a priority if Chamber membership isn’t part of the equation.”
“Whether you are a new or old business, the chamber is definitely an asset for you. You want success? Then join the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce. They will provide: direction, support, resources, and opportunities to allow you to expand and grow your business. I started as a one man business (retired from the military) with the Chamber and 14 years later I have an established business that continues to grow. The residual benefits are great. More business, better business relations and/or contacts, and the one thing money can’t buy, friends. This is a great town and the potential is here.”
“Being a new business and resident to Lawton, I did not know anyone from here. A friend of mine told me the local Chamber might be worth looking into. I was a little hesitant at first, but it was one of the best decisions I made for the business and to network with a lot of other local businesses in town. I received great advice from everyone and made many friends from it as well. They all supported my business and helped get Celluar & Gadget Repair’s name out there.”
