Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce Introduces State of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Featuring Commissioner White
Chamber monthly luncheons focuses on industry topics from leading industry professionals
Lawton, OK – December 23rd, 2019 --- The Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce will host the first State of Industry Luncheon of the New Year called, State of Mental Health & Substance Abuse. State of Mental Health & Substance Abuse will take place on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. at Cameron University, McCasland Ballroom. The State of Industry monthly luncheon series highlights various areas of industry impacting the community and provide insight on the latest initiatives in each area from a leading industry professional.
The State of Mental Health & Substance Abuse features guest speaker Commissioner Terri L. White, who will provide a detailed presentation on mental health awareness and resources. Ms. White currently serves as the commissioner for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and CEO for one of Oklahoma’s largest state agencies. She is a passionate advocate for individuals experiencing mental illness and addiction. Following the presentation, guests will enjoy lunch provided by Cameron University's Sodexo and can discuss the topics presented.
The monthly luncheon series returns for its second year with industry driven topics that impact the Lawton Fort Sill community. Amongst the topics to be highlighted throughout the year will include media/communications, economic development, arts, legislative affairs, housing, education and more.
