Touted in years past as the largest Armed Forces Day parade in the nation, Lawton Fort Sill’s Armed Forces Day parade typically draws in around 100 parade entries, several military vehicles, and hundreds of marching soldiers.

Since 1974, the Arts for All Festival has been Southwest Oklahoma’s largest and most popular cultural event, drawing people from Oklahoma and Texas for a weekend filled with art, entertainment and tantalizing foods.

Lawton Fort Sill’s beloved annual Christmas light display transforms Elmer Thomas Park into a winter wonderland!

More than 400 highly skilled cowboys and cowgirls from across the country compete in barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling, and other exciting events as part of the Lawton Rangers rodeo.

It’s the longest-running Easter pageant “Passion Play” in the U.S. and it’s right here in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge just minutes away from Lawton, Fort Sill.

For the past 15 years, Spirit of Survival has been an integral part of the Lawton community, bringing visitors from around the country who participate in support of the fight against cancer.
